The urns are felted from pure wool - merino, corriedale, gotland fur sheep and various local mixed breeds.
We use dyed wool from DHG, Wollknoll and Henrichsens Wool Spinner. The naturally colored wool comes from Hjelholt's Wool Spinner and from local sheep breeders. Both wool and colors are certified in relation to the environment (Øko-tex and Gotts) and animal welfare (mulesingfree). However, not the local one, where we, on the other hand, have contact with the growers ourselves.
MOTH Wool is a natural product, and if the urn is to be left out for a long time, you must be aware that moths also like wool. Check from time to time whether there is a little wool dust under the urn. If you see traces of moths, the urn can be put in the freezer for a few weeks, during which the moths and larvae die. The process is repeated if necessary. If the urn has been thoroughly eaten, it may be a sign that the time has come for the urn to be lowered into the ground.
Pets can be cremated at pet crematoria. There are several in Denmark.
You can inform the crematorium or the vet that you have acquired or will acquire an urn yourself. You must then ask to have the ashes returned in a temporary container or send the urn to the crematorium.
Urns with pet ashes can be kept in the home or they can be lowered into the ground. If they are to be buried in the ground, it can be in your own garden or in an animal cemetery. It is also permitted to put a pet urn in the forest. Ash and wool do not attract predators. It breaks down and becomes mulch within 2-5 years, depending on soil conditions.
We send the urn in a box with GLS or PostNord.
We ship within a few days unless it is a special order.
